This illustration was commissioned as a christening gift for a baby boy. I filled it full of interesting detail so as the little boy will get lots of fun from it the older he gets, and will hopefully be a piece that he treasures for many years to come (and perhaps when he has children of his own!).
I also added a number of personal references, small and recognizable only to the family.
This piece was created using a mixture of traditional tools (pen,brush and ink) and digital media. It was printed using archival pigment onto matt fine art paper and measures 417mm x 296mm (approx. A3).
I'm about to start work on another commission for a baby girl and look forward to doing lots more commissions of this sort!
